Benjamin Graham (1894–1976), known as the father of value investing, was a British-born American economist and investor. He pioneered value investing, teaching it at Columbia Business School starting in 1928 and co-authoring the classic *Security Analysis* with David Dodd. Graham's disciples, including Warren Buffett, William J. Ruane, Irving Kahn, and Walter J. Schloss, became highly successful investors. Buffett regarded Graham as his greatest mentor after his father, even naming his son Howard Graham Buffett in his honor. Graham also taught at UCLA Anderson School of Management.
